E63s 4matic+ burnout?

Am i stupid for not being able to do a burnout in my e63s in drift mode?

This was a subject of discussion in an earlier thread. From a standing start, drift mode won't apply a lot of power to the wheels, you have to start rolling before large amounts of power start to kick in.

I did some tests when my first set of tires was at end of life and confirmed what some of the other folks had said. From a stop you'll roll a car length or so before the tires will start to really light up.

It's not the easiest car to do a burnout in - rear diff is very smart. I find I have to feather the throttle a couple times before committing and then it'll light up.

Yep, once in drift mode you really have to brake boost to get the rears spinning then stand on both brake and gas pedal. Its not good for your rear diff longevity...
