4matic vs 4matic+??
im waiting for the delivery of my e63s wagon (2018), and the dealer sent me a video before the car gets loaded on the truck. Ive noticed something rather disturbing, on the fender badge it says 4matic, unlike some other cars where i saw it says 4matic+…. Ive done some reading online, and i found this
“ With the 4MATIC systems found on AMG models, the tuning is also designed for performance. The permanent system, for example, distributes 69% of the torque to the rear for a sportier ride. With the 4MATIC + version, all parameters are pushed upwards to maximize performance. Here, 100% of the torque can be sent to the rear and the system is so flexible that distribution is surgically precise where traction is required. With the AMG E-Class, it is even possible to disengage the front axle, so that you can enjoy real propulsion on dry pavement.“
my understanding was that all e63s were 4matic+, but then the badge doesnt say plus so now im super worried that i wont have ability to go full rwd (aka drift mode)
… can anyone clarify

i wonder why it would have an aftermarket badge? The car does appear to have full protective film, so maybe they took it off for the wrap and just stuck an aftermarket one? The rear badges are chrome though, so why would they do blackout sides and not the rears? 🤔
