You have been through a lot with your wagon thus far. I have a present for you. A brand new key from my 2021 wagon. As you may know, I sold this long ago. At the time of sale, I couldn't find my spare key. It turned up about a month ago. You'll just need to get it programmed. May want to see how easy this is or isn't. If you DM me your address, I will send it to you...

Wow! What a generous offer! Thank you.
The car is eager and working hard to make up for it all. So far it’s rocking and I’m very happy.
Love that you're taking your wagon to do everyday stuff. Good for you.
It’s a car!
Son just got his learners permit. He came home with mom, I said “Let’s go!”
“Really? You’ll let me drive your car?”
“Of course!” And tossed him the key.
Think Sheldon cooper. I don’t think he ever went fast enough for the cameras to turn off. This one will be a challenge. We are afraid.

That's awesome.
Heck, if I was driving my dad's triple digit car with him in the passenger seat, I'd be so nervous you'd have to pull the seat cushion out of my a**.
I'll second @I.T. Guy is someone I've learned from countless times. A good dude indeed. His perspective is perfect, these are just cars, life is for living and not getting bent out of shape. Cheers
Today I did a 400km round trip.
Car is awesome. So easy to drive. Very comfy.
Starting to really fall in love with it.
Totally over any nit picking I did at first.
What a cruiser!
Solved the new car flat thanks to @imack these mint 19” Mercedes winter rims he sold me work great.
Now I need to remember to order a new summer tire before spring.
I compleley destroyed my ccb's front using those rims. I had a e63s 21 before. You can find pictures here in mbworld through clicking on my profile. The workshop manager belived it was due to that it is just a few millimeters between rim and break caliper so when dirt/gravel was picked up during winter, there was no natural airflow around the breaks (instead it was like gravel in a wasingmachine). I got new on warranty hovever, but sold the car shortley after (I guessed
they wouldnt cover if I did the same thing again ...)

Thanks for the heads up!
How long did it take or that to happen?
I have 20" spare rims too - perhaps I'll switch to those...
2 winter seasons. The picture is at the end of the second one. I would say it dependes also where you live. I live in sweden and there are a lot of gravel on the roads wintertime (to counter the ice). But since I saw that you had those as wintertires, the same way I did, I wanted to give you a heads up. They changed the discs and pads on my car, I saw the bil and it was ca 12k usd. I havent read that someone else have had this problem however.
A clean BMW with stand-off front license plate holder was zipping through traffic. I saw him coming in my mirror and when he went by I was going to floor it - but as he passed and I read the badge it was only a 328. I let it go, not worth the hassle.
A minute or two and a turn later I stop at a red light, look over, and low and behold somehow was lined up beside Mr. 328. An inner voice said "Do it! This is why. The reason for the car. Just do it."
Light about to turn green
S+
Left brake hard and waiting.
Light goes green - FLOOR AND SEND IT!
Snow tires squealing, car grunting as it's grabbing gears early trying to move forwards as fast as physics will allow.
Look in the mirror - mission accomplished. Total annihilation.
So satisfying.

Sounds great in that video, low grumble like a G63. I went with the RENNTECH only due to a good deal. It really makes comfort and sport mode awesome, not 100% sure it does much to sport+ though. The only negative I have is highway cruising in comfort mode when it switches to 4 cylinder mode. It has a strange hum to it... curious if you experience the same.
Also what does the "3" button do? I only get 1 and 2 for open 100% and closed, but it does save the last setting automatically.
For anyone curious, it is an identical install to the ASR. I did it myself on a hoist and it still took close to an hour I'd say. I would not want to attempt this job on the ground. By far the most annoying part was taking the connection/clip apart at the exhaust tips... probably 15 mins alone on this.
Resurrecting this thread because I also just installed the Renntech EVM and it’s made a huge difference in terms of sound quality and tone. To me, I find it to be night and day prior to adding this little gem. It’s basically an “emotion” start when it’s cold and stays significantly louder throughout the lower rpms on any mode. It’s the best $700 I’ve spent on a car in a long time. I’d still love to do downpipes with cats, but if it gets any louder I might get the HOA on my case.

The main benefit of an EVM is that it is easily reversible and can be controlled via a remote. In stock form, valves open up at high RPMs but immediately close up quite a bit when it shifts as the RPM drops so keeping them open all the time allows that low RPM growl out which adds to the driving experience.
For those who drive in winter, is it fine if the exhaust valves are always open in the snow with all that salt/slush and brine getting inside the exhaust?
