Exhaust valve actuator failure
Hey guys,
I'm experiencing a sporadic loss of power above 4k rpm with very little to no boost and only reaching a max of ~350hp. I realize this issue is not new, other members state that the exhaust valve actuators are likely failing intermittently which is causing the cpc to cut power. All of that makes sense to me. The previous owner of my car had the stock mufflers removed and welded in straight pipes on both sides, the actuators are connected but are tucked underneath the rear bumper cover/diffuser.
Is there an aftermarket solution available that changes how the cpc reacts to the codes being thrown by the faulty actuators or do I need to replace the actuators all together? Seems counterproductive to replace actuators that aren't actually doing anything, but I'll do it if that's the only way to get the car back to functioning at full power all of the time.
Thanks in advance, I always appreciate the feedback I get here.
