VW GTI upgrade

Hello,
I am planning to upgrade to an E53 AMG. I FOUND A CPO 2020 low mileage (28k) for around $56k. I think this is a reasonable price. I’ve only driven Lexi before and have always enjoyed the reliability and comfy ride. I got a GTI because I drove for a few miles and realized what I was missing. Of late the ride seems harsh and cabin noise is quite noticeable(after upgrading my spouses RX to the newer model). I’ve never owned a MB before. Are there any issues I should look out for on a 2020 E53? I live in a small town with no MB dealerships. My concern is a breakdown when I commute to bigger cities ( do around 300 miles each weekend). I hear horror stories on forums (non-MB) but I really liked the way the car drove. Wanting to take the plunge..

MB and Lexus are at opposite ends of the reliability spectrum. You know what Lexus is like, reliability-wise. MB a different kettle of fish as it relates to reliability.

Beware the 48V system on the E53. Read lots about it - best section of the site for this is the V167/X167 GLE/GLS area, where lots of travails and frustration have been reported. Caveat emptor.

No local dealer? If it needs service (and it will) how will you manage that? What if it needs to stay at the dealer for a while? I had a bad motor mount. It was in the shop for a month.
