Most Wanted Mods (MWM) Lowering Module

I've received my OBD lowering module from MWM and I am extremely satisfied! It works exactly as described and their communication was awesome. Within a few minutes after placing my order I received a personal message from Paul thanking me for my order and to make sure I knew they were available on WhatsApp if I needed them for anything.

As soon as I got the module delivered, I plugged it into the OBD port, the screen prompt popped up and I was easily able to adjust at will. After it saved my new settings, I unplugged the module and I'm done. Super easy!

The other massive advantage of this OBD module setup is that it's always available in the car to make changes whenever you need to. Find yourself having to go down a bad/dirt road? Plug in and lift. Get a call to pick up 3 people and their luggage at the airport? Plug in and lift. Stuck in the snow? Lift it up like a monster truck, lol. Come across a car cruise or suddenly need to have that slammed look? Plug in and slam it. You really can't beat that kind of convenience available whenever you want or need it. It takes just a few seconds to change up or down.

This tiny module has found a home in my sunglasses holder.

I've started with the canned "low" setting (-32mm) and I'm sure I'll be tweaking the Custom settings as I go. The following are my comparisons from Stock to MWM/OBD Low in all common modes (E43).

All measurements are from my garage floor through the vertical wheel centerline to the fender opening arch.

STOCK

Stock - Raised from Comfort
F - 715mm (71.5cm/28.15in)
R - 732mm (73.2cm/28.82in)

Stock - Raised from Comfort

Stock - Comfort
F - 693mm (69.3cm/27.29in)
R - 705mm (70.5cm/27.76in)

Stock - Comfort

Stock - Sport
F - 681mm (68.1cm/26.81in)
R - 689mm (68.9cm/27.12in)

Stock - Sport

Stock - Sport+
F - 683mm (68.3cm/26.88in)
R - 693mm (69.3cm/27.28in)

Stock - Sport+

I found the difference between Sport and Sport+ interesting, as I thought Sport+ was the lowest but it appears that Sport and Sport+ are pretty much the same height (negligible difference). From my measurements, Sport is slightly lower overall than Sport+.

LOWERING MODULE ON "LOW" (-32mm)

Low - Raised from Comfort
F - 686mm (68.6cm/27.00in)
R - 704mm (70.4cm/27.72in)

Low - Raised from Comfort

Low - Comfort
F - 665mm (66.5cm/26.18in)
R - 675mm (67.5cm/26.57in)

Low - Comfort

Low - Sport
F - 650mm (65.0cm/25.59in)
R - 658mm (65.8cm/25.91in)

Low - Sport

Low - Sport+
F - 648mm (64.8cm/25.51in)
R - 662mm (66.2cm/26.06in)

Low - Sport+

I'm a happy camper and I now feel like it's MY car.

Notes:
For each measurement: I changed the driving mode while sitting in my garage then drove about a half a mile to the spot to take the picture then returned to my garage and took the measurements.

To try to maintain consistency of my measurements, I placed masking tape on the fenders and marked the level center of the wheel (vertical line) and the bottom of the fender opening (horizontal line) to measure upon from my garage floor.

Another nice "feature" I noticed through my measurements; while lowered in Comfort, using the "Raise Suspension" button raises it to what used to be the Stock Comfort height, so if at any time I want to go back to stock height I can just hit the Raise button on the dash. Nice.

This sure is a heck of a lot easier than my last MB on coilovers!

Thank you Most Wanted Mods!

Lowering definitely amplifies the negative offset look of the OEM wheels, so now I need spacers.

Not into lowering myself but this is another example of a not too aggressive job that might possibly change my mind. Very nice!

Yeah, I think there's a fine line between just eliminating most of the tire-to-fender gap and going too far where it just looks like the suspension is broken. Just my opinion.

Thanks dude!

I've discovered another cool use/feature of being able to lower at 1mm increments... measuring for spacers or wheel offsets.

I now "need" spacers, lol. Having this lowering ability to -70mm, I can lower in increments until the widest part of the wheel/tire is lined up with the narrowest part of the fender and be able to accurately measure the gap I have available to push the wheel out without having to worry about it ending up rubbing, since I'll already know how much gap I have to work with within the travel of the suspension.
