CPC tunes - all the same, or differentiation between tuners like ECU tunes?

I know ECU tuning has an element of uniqueness between tuners for how they approach it, and you can tell a difference in driving behavior and performance for different companies. But CPC tunes were originally just one primary version that was white labeled by a bunch of different tuning companies. Are there any significant differences in driving behavior/performance dynamics across CPC tunes for W213 E63? Or are they effectively a commodity item and buy from who you like working with? What about TCU tunes?

I don't have any proof but in my research all the CPC does is is remove torque limits, with a few options like "cooling management" which I think just runs the IC pump more, and programming the Exhaust Flaps to stay open if you want.

I also don't have any proof but heard through the grapevine Mercedes is onto the CPC thing and there is a shortage of spares and they are getting harder to obtain by tuners.

Because I believe CPC are a commodity with very few parameters to change I picked one up from Black Boost. To me they were the cheapest trusted "brand name" one so I snagged a unit from Jose at Boosted Benz https://www.boostedbenz.com/ just in case the rumor of CPC parts shortages turns out to be permanent and true.

Also one of the cars on here ran a 10.9 with only Black Boost CPC and PTG Intake, and a 10.3 with Black Boost CPC, ECC ECU, Edok TCU and PTG intake so I am not overthinking my mods, I'm just gonna stamp that out again and hopefully it's repeatable. That list is my personal opinion of the best of the best in each area of thing.

My module:

I expect 132-133mph on cool days and 134/135mph on cold negative DA days on your wagon (all trap speeds)

CPC NG Module acts as an ECU, think of it as a smaller ECU that controls many parameters that were used to be within the ECU in earlier platforms.

CPC takes control over the ECU by managing many parameters:

- Torque Limits
- Speed Limit
- Exhaust Flaps
- Intercooler Pump
- Thermostat Control

- Pedal and Throttle Response
- Fan Control
- Power Distribution
.. and much more !

Its like an ECU tune that depends on how the tuner approach the tune and software calibration, so each tune provides different outcomes.
