I bought my 2018 E43 in April and today is the first time I've dug into the engine, doing my 60K mile service (coils, plugs, air filters, oil change).
I'm glad I was in there, as my intercooler expansion/reservoir tank is broken-up pretty badly. I'm not sure how the F that happened unless some idiot with more strength than brains tried to tighten the cap with a 100 ft/lbs of force and ended up twisting the top of the tank off? WTF.
I obviously need a new tank and Google is failing me... does anyone know the MB part number for this little intercooler expansion tank?
Says it doesn't fit your car, but does for other V6 biturbo and AMG 43 engines.
This is a lot closer than I was able to get. Thank you very much for your help! This looks exactly like the right part, a bit strange that E43 is omitted... it doesn't make much sense that a part like this would be specific for a particular submodel. Hmm.
Looks like I'll need to breakdown and call my MB parts counter, ugh. I'm sure they'll find a way to add a bunch of ridiculous fees to the cost.
