Spacers on W213 E43

Hi guys,
Just bought winter package 4x amg rims+ tyres for my E43 2017. All 4 tyres- 245/40/19, front rims - 19x8J ET20, rear - 19x8J - ET43.
I don’t like how tucked in the rear rims look. I think about buying spacers but I really know nothing about them. I will be grateful if somebody helps.

are these AMG wheels you bought ? I cross reference to factory setup, the rear wheels should be 19 x 9 et49.

In general, there is usually a 10mm spacer (front & rear) safety margin people may do to fill the wheel well gap.

19x8 ET43 is not a good fitment for the rear, as you can see. Correcting the offset using spacers with a narrow wheel and tire like that is most likely going to make it look like it's on crab legs from the rear view. If you're okay with that, then yes you can correct the tuck with spacers. You'll need to determine the spacer size you need to get what you want by measuring all the things.

bobblehead is right, on the stock E43 setup, 10mm spacers are the "safe" configuration to get rid of the factory tuck while not having to worry about interference issues. If you want flush fitment, that will require measuring and a little trial and error to get it just right.

I can share what I did if it's helpful:

I have OEM 20s; 20x8 ET20 front - 20x9 ET49 rear. I went with 10mm spacers all around and I'm very happy with it. Not "flush", but just enough to eliminate that sunken look and still have plenty of clearance. Again, any more spacer with a 9” rear wheel will give it more of the crabby look from the rear.

(FYI: I'm lowered 26mm front, 32mm rear)

The spacers and extended lug bolts are from Motorsport Hardware. This is my second MB I'm running Motorsport Hardware spacers and lugs and no issues, the quality, price and customer service is excellent. They are based in California. I'm not sure where you are, but since you said "tyres", I'm assuming you are not in the US. You'll need to check with them about international shipping.

Best of luck to you!

I think they are. It is some kind of a Winter package for E43/E53 - strange one but I got it for a fair price.

Thank you! Appreciate your info! I got the same summer setup - same size rims OEM but with no spacers and mine isn’t lowered. Yours looks amazing!
The 19” I bought are also OEM but some kind of Winter Package as I read online.
Cheers

You're very welcome. Cool, thanks!

Maybe the extra room with the Winter Package is to allow for use with tire chains? IDK. Either way, good luck man.

Imo, reconsider of not putting spacers … the point of having the tires “tucked “ in is to lessen the chance of winter debris damage on the lower fenders/doors paint.
