W205 Steering Wheel in our W213?

Howdy Folks,

I'm not finding any definitive information on this swap, so maybe someone on this forum can shed some light...

I've found a fellow MBWorld member selling their 2017 W205 OEM (modified) steering wheel. From all appearances it looks to be identical to my 2018 Wagon steering wheel (minus the modifications and button layout), but what other things should I be aware of or look out for?

Lane tracking vibration?
Steering Assist?
No heating of course :-(
Coding/programming?

Want to make sure I talk to the right people before pulling the trigger on the purchase.

Thanks for any help.

Mike

wheels cores are the same. Button layouts could be different. Whatever the case just transfer over your oem buttons, computer module and vibration motor.

Hey thanks for the response! I'd certainly transfer over my buttons onto the new wheel, and the other items as you have said.

Just curious, as I wouldn't be doing the work myself, all other modules/motors within my OEM wheel are swapped out easily enough, right?

as long as both wheels on the outside look the same yea it’ll all swap over
w205/w214 has 2 cores
1: 2 piece trim
2: 1 piece trim

the buttons on both are the same but the cores are different. You’ll be able to transfer internals though. Post a pic at your oem vs what you’re looking to get
