As many of you know, an entire map update can be downloaded to a USB stick using the Windows Mercedes map downloader instead of waiting for a single region to be pulled over 4G.
Well… the 2023 V26.0 (34 GB) maps download wasn’t working for me.
My USB stick with the new maps wasn’t recognized by the E63S despite it working in the past.
The Windows downloader states either an NTFS or ExFAT-formatted empty stick must be present.
I repeatedly defaulted to NTFS… which never worked.
It dawned on me that the W213 UX OS changed in 2020 (2021?) to MBUX and maybe MBUX added NTFS support.
I have a 2019 W213 E63S4 Wagon.
So I started over with an ExFAT-formatted stick and… now it works.

NTFS works fine in my 2019 C63S with NTG 5.5. Same system as your W213. I've used an NTFS formatted SD card since owning the car and it's always worked. Don't know about the W213, but I have an SD card slot in the arm rest. Did the V26.0 update the other week and it was no different.
I suspected the moment I posted this there would be an exception or that the problem might be even deeper than NTFS vs ExFAT.
This was a 256GB MicroSD in a reader.
Maybe the right answer is if NTFS doesn’t work then give ExFAT a try?

Yeah, definitely a few potential failure points here. The reader and or the size of the card. Not sure what the max size is, but I have read folks having issues with larger cards for music and such. I use a 64 GB card and as said directly inserted into the available SD card slot.
