Voltage Converter Replacement Part#A2059053414 Has Anyone Replace This Module Yet?
Hi Members,
I am in the process of replacing my battery as it is now over 5yrs old. So Mercedes recommend also replacing the Voltage Converter Part#A2059053414 and they are asking for $400 for the module while I see the same module selling in Amazon for around $140 which is a big price difference. Has anyone changed their Voltage Converter and is it necessary to replace the old one when I don't think there is anything wrong with it. And would the aftermarket ones selling 1/3 the price work just as good as the OEM part? Also, if you did the install yourself was it easy and how long did it take? It appears the module is right by the CPC module.

It's an easy swap. Any part from a reputable source (like FCP) will be as good as the OEM. It's a small bank of supercaps. They're all made in Korea. Supercaps also last about 5 years, so it's a good idea.
