Current 911 thinking about E63S. Can you help?

the 2019 sounded amazing. The 2021 model was significantly muted in comparison. The Panamera V8 sounded great to me, similar enough volume to the 2021s that I had no complaints. The MB is certainly a more "raucous" vehicle, whereas the Porsche is more refined. The suspension on the Porsche is much more supple and comfortable. For me, it was the winner, but I'm not knocking the MB either (I owned 3 of them, after all).

I can't speak for a newer Porsche but I do have a '91 964 Turbo and a '14 E63s wagon both weekend cars. The driving experience is totally different and you can't choose one over the other. I have had several cars over the years but the Porsche has stayed with me all those 24 years.

Back to the OP:
A newer 911 Turbo (Turbo S) 2021+ would walk an E63 that doesn't have heavy work done (bigger turbos etc). Even then Id give the 911 the nod. Those newer 911 Turbos run low 10s/high 9s @135+. I'd recommend test driving a 911 Turbo and make the decision yourself - personally, for a bone stock factory vehicle - the car is outrageous, especially the acceleration above 80mph. Porsche Turbos are another level, I can't imagine those newer ones with upgrades, bigger turbos, full exhaust, tune etc. Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't know or hasn't driven one.
City driving would take the entire purpose of the 911 Turbo away - so what's the point of owning one?
