Startup manfunction
Just had an issue with my E43 starting - entered the car, stepped on brake, hit the start button and all lights lit up like a Christmas tree including : MALFUNCTION - SEE OPERATORS MANUAL. But then the start button wouldn't turn off the AC functions, and the taillights and mirror sensors were all on. I also couldn't lock the car. So I let it sit for 15 minutes until the taillights went off, checked everything and it seemed normal again. Anyone experience this before? Might need to do a scan.

Sometimes in these cars when the main and/or aux battery is bad it'll do this crap; load test that battery (main one)
also check the wire harnesses for rodent damage / does the car sit outside? Are there mice in the garage?

Talked to my Mercedes tech by phone and that's what he suspects - battery. 6 yrs / 70k but we'll see tomorrow,
