Looks like they made some improvement with oval filters and engine heatshield cover?
Should I be the guinea pig to try this out?
it probably is not much different from my current BB gen 1 intake.
Deletion of factory hot air trapping flap kinda worries me about heat soak while stopping still.
Also, the factory heatshield cover without vents might be worse for heat dissipation?

Definitely looks a lot better than Gen 1. Go for it!! I think I saw a demo clip on it and it sounded really good.

They claims that it boosts power from “8-30 horsepower” over a stock box. That’s a rather wide range. The price isn’t too obnoxious either at 1699$. I’d say go for it. I’d love to hear your view on it.

less filtering at the cost of more airflow... the nature of the beast. I would also hope that the blackboost is completely sealed from the engine bay and only pulls from the front. It looks like that is not the case as there is no padding in the middle which happens to be where the exhaust manifolds are radiating their inferno level heat.
