I had a small scratch repaired on my 2018 e63 wagon and part of the work done included replacing one of the mirror caps that was also slightly scratched. The shop ordered a new one and installed it. I noticed however that the new one is black carbon fiber but my original ones are more of a grey carbon fiber. Does anyone know if the grey tone was part of a spec? Or could these be aftermarket? I bought the car used. Personally I like the grey better. Need to replace one or the other so they match.
The window sticker also shows a $1200 add on for carbon fiber mirror covers. Was this grey color an option from factory?
