W213 Driver Side Mirror Wind Whistling Noise

W213 Driver Side Mirror Wind Whistling Noise
I recently had my driver side mirror housing assembly replaced due to the mirror glass vibrating on 2021 E63 and ever since then I’ve noticed a whistling noise from the wind at 55+ mph.
I brought it back to the dealer and they replaced a seal in the triangle portion of the mirror housing assembly and the door trim seals, but the whistling noise is still there and unchanged. They also taped various parts of the mirror assembly, windshield, driver door, etc and cannot get the whistle to go away.
Something tells me that it might be a defective mirror housing assembly with tolerances that are slightly off and reacting with the airflow causing the noise, or simply that the assembly was not put back together and installed correctly. Inspecting it visually from the outside, everything does look flush and identical to the passenger side which has no issues.
Has anyone else had this issue and any luck fixing it? It looks like this appears to be a common problem on other models including the GLE and AMG GT 4 door, with both models having open TSBs. I did not see any TSBs for the W213.

2021 E450 coupe
Hello, any luck on this? I am having the same issue on the same car but 2021 E450 coupe. The driver side has a wind noise coming from the mirror/window at +60mph. From outside everything looks ok.

Hey, I just got back from another test drive with the shop foreman at my local dealer. Initially they kept replacing various seals on and around the driver door, but I finally convinced them that it's an issue with the mirror assembly itself. They mentioned they're going to try taping off the mirror assembly again and remove parts of the mirror assembly to pinpoint which piece is causing the issue.
In your case, did you notice the noise happening after part of the mirror aseembly was replaced, has it done it since new, etc.?

how did they repair the mirror glass vibrating. had been to the dealer and they can not even diagnose lol

They replaced the entire mirror assembly to fix the vibration but now it's whistling...so one problem solved and another created. It might be different for your case depending on what's causing the vibration though. It could be the motor, glass detaching from the backing plate, etc.
