Airmatic help

Hey guys and gals!

I was getting my dog to go to the park and I heard a loud pop and a hissing from my front of my e63s. When I went to look and see what happened my car is now at minimum ride height and now undrivable. I want to ask a few questions to make sure I head in the right direction.

The fee things I know about airmatic. The two front air-struts have home runs to the valve block in the back rear wheel well behind the driver side passanger. In the wheel well there is the valve block for all the lines, the compressor, a diverter valve for the rear air bags. There is also a air tank in the trunk. I have read the codes and all i get is code c156784, the left t front of the vehicle is out of tolerance. The few things I would like to ask are as follows;

1. Where is the best place to get new airstrus or airmatic suspension parts? I have looked online and can seem to only find remanufactured ones. Is that what I should use?

2. What is the best way to go about identifying what needs to be replaced? Would I visibly be able to see a hole in the airbag or do I need to do a water and soap spray bottle method and have a visual inspection of the whole line and airstrut assembly.

3. Has anyone done this job and can give me some tips; or is this a job better left to the shop. I would prefer to DIY.

4. Should both air struts be replaced at the same time, or could I replace just one?

I appreciate your help.Thank you for everything.

Well I bought the entire assembly. But I cannot get the control arm separated so I can slide into new shock. The upper control alarm has a thin bolt and it won't break loose. I put my t forty five in the middle and I tried to turn it but I end up just turning the rack. Is there a special trick to doing the removal part for the bolt/flat dusk with t45 in the middle.
