Square 10 Inch Wheel Setup Possible?
Square 10 Inch Wheel Setup Possible?
Hi!
Heading over here from the 204 section to try and gain some information for a buddy. He has a W213 E63 4Matic sedan and wants to change the wheels. Something he is looking at is only offered in a 10 inch wide wheel, so would mean a square 10 inch setup front and back with that style.
He currently has the stock wheels and a 12mm spacer front and 10mm on the rear.
The front wheels being 9.5 stock and ET25 (or ET13 equivalent with his spacer) I believe means installing a 10 isn’t a huge jump, and the plan would be to use the same 265 tire. So then, to my mind it’s just a case of offset to push the wheel out further, something like at ET15 or ET20 to get a similar look as he has now.
Am I missing anything and, are they’re any pitfalls to be aware of running square on this car, even if stock tire sizes are used?
Thanks!

Thank you! Would you think that changing to a 275 would cause any rubbing? I’m yet to stick me head in the fender and look.
275 fits no problem with adjusted offset - PLENTY of space inside.
I had a 275 purchased and mounted, but there was a whole separate fitment saga in the rear (20x11 et56 with 305/30 rubbed - see the issues https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...wheels-15.html ), so in the end, i chose to keep it stock size tires front and rear. I tried to install 20x10et17 275/30 and 20x11et56 305/30 and ther rears rubbed. the fronts fit totally fine
so now I have 20x10et17 and 20x10.5et50 running 265/35 and 295/30. I'l lprobably switch to 275 up front at some point because fo the lip issue
