Unfortunately everything in Northern Virginia is outrageously overpriced, and due to that I have seen costs range from $1500 - $2500 for "calipers off" painting (which I believe is the only good way to do it). Not to mention the week or more they'll have your car in the shop.

Spitballing here...
- Source 4 new/lightly used calipers from Ebay.
- Strip and prep at home.
- Paint and clear with your choice or color.
- Have INDY shop swap old calipers with newly painted ones.
- Use old calipers as a boat anchor.
Too involved/technical for an at home DIY?

There used to be a guy who did the trade outs (remember there was the guy who updated and sold the W212 center spin knob thing?).
But, some guy painted and sold them to folks who would send him a set. Maybe it was not profitable. Maybe he started huffing paint full time.

Took a look on Ebay, and prices for used would still be more expensive than just paying a shop. So much for my spitballing.
