Info was posted and presented above, what is the point of repeating it? Did you read from the first post on? All you have to do is to decide, right?

look mate, if you want to be useful and help then reply, dont try and act smart by telling me if i read up or not, and so and so,

You said above at some point use 245 and then 255 and then 265 so wich one should I actually believe you actually mean, and
to be honest i wasnt hoping to get any replies from you as what you been writting above is something we all already know and that is.... try your luck!!!

thanks for your critics!!

Point #1 I never said to use 255/30, #2 I suggested to OP to use 245/35 based OP's requirements (which sounds similar/same as your requirements), #3 265/30 was presented as an alternative to a different poster, #4 based on your picture in other thread, you must already be on 255/30&295/25 and if you are and want more sidewall, then maybe you should re-read from the beginning again and this is the point #5.

well point #6 is ive got the wheels as second hand and they are currently with 235/35/20 front 9j et25 and 255/35/20 10.5j et30 and ride quality wise they dont feel right and then we go to point #7 hence the reason I am asking for help!! Thanks anyways mate.

if you can give me some useful advise would highly appreciate it rather then criticise me,

i asked because there are many suggestions on this thread and also some are for non amg versions and not sure but maybe amg versions rwd airmatics have different specs!!

hi mjohn50n, can you help me out plz mate, was it vossens guy who told you to go for the 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 ??

i went with 285/30/20 rears @ 10.5j rim, look a little streched i think,

and front went with 245/35/20 @ 9j rim and fronts look fine,

ride wise seems much better then stock 19s but not sure if it would affect the speedo or rolling with this setup,

i would like to go maybe 295/30/20 or possibly 305/30/20 rears and 255/35/20 fronts but worried maybe fronts will touch at 255/35/20 as tue 245/35/20 just about clear away,

if anyone running 255/35/20 on AmG wpuld like to chip inn, would be helpful.

Now is a good time to press a "thanks" button since after all the above nonsense, you went with sizes - 245/35F & 285/30R - I advised (because I know they fit AMG as well) in the very beginning. FYI: 255/35F & 295/30R are borderline. 305/30R won't fit.

Trying to find the thank button haha

🥂🥂

i have to say i think 295/30/20 in the rear as with 10.5j the 285/30/20 is a little streched, so going to go and try 295/30/20 or possibly 305/30/20 and run the front at 255/35/20

i dont know if this setup will affect my handling much, but then again i do daily driving with the odd little race here and there at traffic lights lol.

no....thats not true. a 305/30 will be taller than a 295/30. when you get a wider tire, you have to compensate by choosing a lower aspect ratio (the number AFTER the initial, 3 digit number).

Here is what I came across, a picture of someones CLS on google linked back here somewhere, this particular car used 255/35/20 and 305/30/20 and makes the car itself look very odd because of these sizes. Ive opted to run 255/30/20 and 305/25/20 tires for my project. I appreciate all the comments and input. Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words. The front tire is not too bad, but the rear kills it.

Update,

today ive tried to fit a set of 295/30/20 Pirelli’s and it was almost touching on the fenders, so went back to 285/35/20 and they fot fine,

however,

on motorway on speeds above 60mph the car just dont stick to the road and steering feels a little wobbly, so dont know if its cose of rears 285 or the fronts most likely as they are 245/35/20 and i think there is too much rubber for precise handling,

so i just placed an order for a set of 4 Flaken Azenis FK510 on the recommend tyre sizes of 255/30/20 & 295/25/20,

to be honest these 63’s are monsters on its own and I simply dont want to be messing around and guessing with tyres anymore, so they should be delivered by next week monday tuesday, once fitted will let you know how they handle and how rough is the ride going to be using the recommended sizes, i am a bit vary of the 25 profile on rear, but i guess its price you pay if you want to look good haha!!

here is a pic of the car, currently running:

245/35/20 front et25 9j

285/30/20 rear et30 10.5j

to be fair front feels a little wobbly i think too much rubber,

the rear tyre looks a little streched for the 10.5j

i will take pics of car when the 255/30/20 & 295/25/20 tyres installed too.

Looks good! What did you use for lowering? Im also interested to see the 295's on it. I think the only way to avoid the stretched looked might be a 305.

i haven’t lowered it, currently its stock and will be staying stock i think lol,

ive tried 295/30/20 today and they where very close to touching so i think 305s would probably touch, unless u raise it up or it might be my ofset of 30et, apologies but am far from technical guy lol!

you would need a 305/25/20 to get awy without the rubbing. Look at the pic I posted a few above, that car has 305/30/20 and it looks ridiculous.

probably you right, but for some reason I think am going to stick with the recommended setup of 255/30/20 & 295/25/20 as like this i know it shouldnt play with speedo and what ever else it may play, plus am going tomorrow to get the car remaped and have a few more tricks inc gearbox and de limiter and exhaust note restrictions removed, dont ask me about in depth as dont know what they are but just what ive been told by the guy I used in many previous cars and always been very happy so am having high expectations from them tomorrow:-)

I agree with the 295, however when I contacted Vossen they recommended the other. Here is a 305/25/20 ( this is on a 20x11.5 wheel. I would assume this would look the same as a 295/25 on a 10.5 wheel.

was it vossen who told you to go with that then? Strange cose it really feels wobbly especially the fronts, anyhow ive ordered the 255/30/20 so only time will tell,

prior to the cls63 i had the e63 and the cl63 and they all had the right tyre fitmen and the car used to feel like it glued to the road, and on the clas i just dont get that response, will update once i try the 255s

Yes, Vossen replied to my email regarding tire size for the 20x9 and 20x10.5 for the CLS63 255:30/20 and 305/25/20. Thier exact words. You can look on thier site, all the CLS cars have that setup.
