2009 CLS63 AMG price too good to be true?
Hey Guys,
I've been window shopping for some time, but may jump at this one. I came across a dealer advertised price on a new black/black 2009 CLS63 AMG at $72999 - that's $30k off MSRP with the options it has! I called the dealer, they say the car is new with only a few miles. Is this too good to be true? Why would they be willing to take such a hit? I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to check it out. Anyone have any words of advice?

Although I am skeptical, very skeptical that a NEW 09 could be had for 72k , perhaps it is USED?
I looked on the South Bay website and they only had one CLS 63 in the inventory

I know that you can get one for around $27k off MSRP right now, so that seems logical.

I wish I could, but I cannot even get that on a 2008 pre-owned
In all seriousness, AMG's are being heavily discounted at the current moment. I cannot really say any more as I do not want to violate the non-sponsor agreement. That being said, if you're in the market for an AMG, now is the time to buy.

$30,000 cool I only found $20,000 off.....
Local Ad here on Long Island.
$22,766 off of a brand new 2009 CLS63.
An E63 for $50,000... thats just nuts ! (if true)

I grabbed the CLS in the ad and wound up with $25,300 off sticker. No one can guess when the economic downturn will end and normal AMG prices return, so I jumped on it.
They still have the E63 and it has the panoramic roof, something I wish MB offered for the CLS.

Don't be so quick to call BS on anything you see in regards to prices.
Prices differ according to area, market, and plain old desperation. Just do the research, and get the best price possible. Deals are out there.

Leasing A CLS63

I hope no one tells Volker Mornhinweg his AMG arent selling well.
I just visited four mercedes dealers in NY during June on Saturdays and all four had crowded showrooms. One dealer said sales were off by 18% which is better than most local business's here in NY. Two dealers offered discounts but when the numbers were fleshed out they were close to sticker price.
Generally speaking, the way I understand it is you add up cap cost reduction plus the monthly payments (say 36 months) and the residual due and the end of the lease.
If they total less then the window sticker you did well. If it's more that is because of the interest on the payments and lack of a discount.
Remember the interest is on the vehicle and not the payment itself, typically $12,000 for 36 months. http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm
