What is my CLS55 worth ?
I haven't been on here in a long time, been very happy with my CLS55. The four year lease just came due and I bought it, since I structured it with a very low residual (mid-30s) and well, I had some work done on it
I plan on keeping it for a while but was wondering about what it would be worth right now were I to trade it in or try a private party sale.
2006 CLS55
Designo Graphite (two tone black & white leather, black piano wood)
Renntech Stage 5 (ECU, SC pulley, exhaust headers, CF airbox)
Renntech lowering module
Vellano 20" 3-pc wheels
Euro DVD/Comand unit
Brabus illuminated shift knob
Brabus illuminated door sills
Kuda Iphone dock/charger (via Aux)
Rear seat entertainment system (LCDs in headrests with trunk changer)
~ 34,000 miles
No physical damage or accidents
I'm not even sure what I would get instead, only things that really interest me are a low mileage CL600 or CL65, I'd love to get a bi-turbo V12 before they become extinct. I need something with a usable back seat since I have two children; the CLS55 was perfect when they were younger as the rear doors made car seats easy to install and remove. They are now out of car seats, so a two door like the CL would be just fine. It actually has a more spacious back seat than the CLS, I think.
I also saw the Porsche Panamera Turbo last week, liked it more than I expected to - it looks better in person than it does in photos, although I am pretty loyal to MB at this point. It had a surprising amount of cargo space because of its hatchback design and an interior that was better than I would have suspected in a Porsche.
I really love the looks of the Aston Martin Rapide but it is too expensive. Same for most of the Italians plus this car will be my daily driver... enough said!

MBWorld Fanatic!
OP - I was on the market for a Designo CLS a couple of months ago. Here is what I can tell you based on my research:
About 3 months ago, Vividracing (in AZ) sold their shop CLS55 (Pewter on Black). The car looked clean, 20K miles, with a RT stage 5 package, HRE's and a few more mods. It sold for $50K. Not Designo but similar to yours.
(1) Fully loaded CLS55 with the Designo and Performance Packages sold in Florida for $40K in a rush sale. The car had 22K miles but the records indicated an accident involving front damage. It went back to the motherland after only one day on ebay.
(3) CLS IWC's have come and go in the low to mid 40's ranging from 45K-60K miles under different conditions. There is one currently for sale in your area for $51K obo. That car started at $59K about 2 months. It has 20K miles. It will probably sell for $48K-$50K.
(1) CLS63 with the DP and PP with 34K+ miles sold for low-mid 50s as a CPO'ed but with body work done.
Another clean Designo CLS63 with 36K miles sold for $47,500 in Jacksonville, FL.
My budget was $50K OTD. I ended buying a 1-owner CLS55, fully loaded (except distronic), 42K miles, still under factory warranty, with Designo and Performance Packages. Car - $42,500; Shipping - $400. Taxes - $2,600; Chrysler Extended Warranty up 2013/127K miles - $2,600. Refinished wheels Gunmetal - $900. Dealer expenses - $750 including PPI, Service B, alignment, brake flush and a laundry list of stuff under warranty. The only mod I could squeeze with the rest of the cash was a 63 PP steering wheel that I'm not sure if it's going to work or not.
There are tons of great 55s & 63s in all trims and conditions. I'm a enthusiast and I can appreciate what you have. Honestly, I would have negotiated with you at $46K-$47K depending on the overall condition and list of options.
Hope this helps.
