NEED HELP WITH RED BATTERY LIGHT AND LOW BATTERY CONVENIENCE MESSAGE

I recently had these two error pop up. I checked the battery voltage for both battery and checked out good with 12.7 off-14v at idle.
I decided to replace the smaller battery and still both errors are present.
I went to go get it checked with star and the results came out that its possible that its alternator or front sam module could be the issue.
My questions is that how can the alternator be at fault when it has correct voltage with engine off and on?
Could it be front sam? Does anyone had this issue before? Gotta say this is a weird issue.

When my alternator failed it was intermittent at first. Is the error always present when charge is good and battery is good? You can get system volts up on dash display perhaps you could monitor it while driving around see how it behaves.

I checked the voltage from dash option and reading is normal. This is some weird electrical issue. What the hell is wrong with these cars?? These mercedes systems are very sensitive. All voltage from engine off is 12.6v and at idle its 14.1
Drove the car while displaying the voltage reading from dash and dont see any voltage drop,WTF??
Both errors are still present. As mentioned, i changed the small battery and still the same.
Anyone experience something like this?

My monies on the Sam unit then. Last thing I would try before looking online for it is to unplug battery for an hour or so to discharge the system.

The RED colored warning is telling you that the battery is not being charged. Did you check the main battery under load? I would also turn on every electrical option: headlights, fogs, seat heater, defroster, etc...and see what voltage you have under full load. BTW voltage regulator is a maintenance item.(unless your alternator is toast

I have seen so many people online with very same or similar issues. Those error messages with "terminal 61 can bus is missing or faulty" yet no one really has a solution.
People just end up replacing voltage regulator or alternator and fixed issues. Others have replaced a bunch of parts yet the problem still exists. What the hell is wrong with these cars???
Why the hell did they make these cars so complicated for people to spend so much money on issues like this. It seems tho its a conspiracy from mercedes or something.
All people with these issues spent alot of time on parts and all. Most of the dealers cant even figure it out without throwing parts at it. I love the old to new amgs but this is really turning me off!!

Another thing i noticed that my dynamic seats werent working before so i installed a used working one. It worked for a short while upon start up, but it just dies after like its getting disconnected. I read somewhere online and someone stated that all these errors and the dynamic seats turning off on its own that it can be a software issues or needs to be updated. They also said it can be the front sam unit as well. I bought a used sam so once its installed and coded, hopefully it cures this bs.

You said you read it off of the instrument cluster....That's not what I and others suggested....No matter
With out a proper SDS read out (not just saying " it said front SAM or alternator) your chasing your tail. I highly suggest you invest in your own SDS.
I don't have a W219 but here is some info on the W211 dual battery.

Had the same problem trying to diagnose this headache I just went ahead and changed both batteries and everything was good again. No problems after that.

Did you get both error messages and also "terminal 61 missing or faulty"?

All fixed!! The voltage regulator from the alternator was damaged on the electrical connector. I ended up getting a new bosch and installed it, no errors! The previous owner who intalled it before damaged the connector. The connector was barely on before and just came loose.
I guess its similar to the VR getting burnt.

You had an intermittent connection. VR's wear down. Now you can return the SAM

Two of the same error light is back. Both errors came on after a hard run and disappears when i restart the car. I changed the Vr last couple of weeks ago as i mentioned and the lights disappeared. So today i smashed the gas and after the hard run, both lights came back.
Disappeared after i restarted the car. Someone said my alternator is on its way out. Dam!! Wtf!!

Have anyone experience this? If so, what was the culprit?

Alternator is easy, just always drive around with the voltage on the dash showing. If it drops down then you know its overheating and not working anymore and needs replacement.

If the voltage is strong it's probably that front SAM unit you had codes for. I've only had to replace my alternator so far..I think it crapped out at like 70k miles.

Just got back from a 2500 mile road trip. I got the "Low battery, convenience features unavailable" light about half way into the trip. Took the car to the dealer and it turned out to be the alternator. In addition to the warning, the seat coolers would not turn on (flashing) and the AC was blowing hot air out of all vents. After replacing the alternator, everything went back to working as normal.

Could it also be the main trunk battery going bad?

Well fellas I think I found the situation your comfort of the problem when I have my voltage load meter on my auxiliary battery my charging system is reading okay well when I put a load on it a bounces back to okay slowly once the engine warms up and alternator gets hot but then when I turn on all my accessories the leveling height system flashers my headlights my AC my load meter goes in the red 4 bad charging system for about 30 seconds or so before it goes back into the green okay then when I menstruate my Lord system the load meter goes in the red for bad charging system and then slowly goes and the green 4 okay charging system so now I'm thinking my alternator is bad so I'm going to go and pull it and replace it and then see what happens
