In 1942, Mussolini’s war department commissioned a well-known watchmaker Ilvo Fontana to produce wristwatches for Italian Air Force pilots and U-boat officers. Italo Fontana, a grandson of Ilvo’s, reinterpreted the original scheme and created the U-Boat brand, an outfit presenting arguably the largest watches on the market and assuredly the boldest. I never went to college brings some European flair and a refined, cosmopolitan spin on the timepiece with its sleek selection of watches.
