Will 20" fit on W210 AMG?
The title says it all.
I have a E50 AMG -97.
Can I fit in 20" wheels?

I dont have an answer (only that my friend has 20's on a w211 and they fit fine, they are mkw's) but I hate when people bombard with their opinions. If the man/woman wants 20's then let him get 20's. Everybodies not satisfied with 17 inch gunmetal wheels.

Is it really "well known?? (m)
it is a not so well known fact that larger wheels of this size generally degrade handling and ride. While a certain wheel may physically "fit", it may make little or no practical sense. Then again, if questionable form over function is your goal, then so be it.

I've had 20's on my w210 and they are actually still in the garage. to me the ride isnt bad. and the handling- corners you need to take slow so as not to rub but as far as tracking down the road, i found it much more enjoyable. i am not a racer and never was so the performance...if i could have noticed it i wouldnt have cared. but i didnt have a e55. but i will say this, if i get a e55 and i still have these wheels...i will put them on it and not care if it slows me down a little. The bottom line is that all of these people love their car PERIOD. So let them do to it what they want, since they are in fact making the payments. And yes I have a denali on 24's and a 745 on 22's so call it what you want but i can promise you more people like my cars than these 17 inch gunmetal wheel having cars. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to look nice. Women, for example sacrifice eating and comfort just ot look nice and if someone wants to sacrifice "a little" handling or whatever it may be let him do just that KTHXBY

Perhaps a better word would be "culturalist", as these afflictions appear to run across all races. If "Big chrome wheels represent a culture of life" then we, as Americans, are in deeeeeep you know what. Gotta love the exaltation of the inconsequential, minor and/or trivial. Never mind education, self reliance and a realization of the greater good. No!!! Large and ungainly wheels are where its at!! Truly, this represents a new zenith for our society! I bow in awe at the social ramifications such represents for future generations. May form over substance live forever!!
Oh, and for future reference- the correct word is "Pseudo" for "sudo. Also, when speaking about people in the plural sense use the word "cars" so that the sentence is internally consistent.
Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what "KTHXBY" means?? Also, what does "gunmetal" mean? "Gunmetal" is normally a deep blue to the point of nearly black.

it's hard for someone who has not experienced how 20 inch wheels feel to know exactly how the ride will be affected.
my suggestion to the thread starter is that if you are worried about the way its going to drive, then don’t do it. if you willing to make a sacrifice then go for it...and I would bet that you would be very much surprised at how it won’t be as bad a feeling as people have led you to believe.
on a side note: let’s try and not get this dudes first thread closed because of difference of opinions.

And to help with the original question some one does have 20's on their clk http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/736014
you should search cardomain under the clk and you may find more. you can send them messages and ask them what modifications it took to get them on there as well.
here is another, they are spinners but probably have a basic wheel that the spinner is attached to.

Luke going back to what you said about the 20's working, would an H&R drop on a W210 AMG still work without rubbing or would major fender rolling be neccessary? Thanks man!

Just to answer the question as Luke says, its certainly possible. With the current "plus-sizing" craze going on right now (ie, 22s on Altima's), alot of tire manufacturers are making much smaller tires (ie, 225/30-20).
I think your main concern should be clearance after the lowering (which I personally think is MANDATORY with a +3" upgrade), I did some research a while back and I believe there is a control arm "nut" issue, and the front bumper may need to be modded.
Good luck.
