2005 Kleemann Stage 3 E55
W211 Race Tire and Wheel Quick Question
Luke,
Background info:
2005 W211 with Kleemann lowering module (about an inch)
I can currently use 19" OZ Superleg III with 245/35 front and 285/30 rear at the race track with no rubbing under heavy load when the car is lowered. Fit is tight but no rubbing under all conditions. Car is a blast (619 hp) and I'm cooking tires and brakes like nobodies business. I will be upgrading the brakes to fit inside 18" wheels and getting R compound tires.
I desire to switch to R compound tires and since the tire options are limited to 18", I'm looking for a nice good size to start with and then look at tire selection.
My OZ SuperL III's (bought from tirerack) are 19x8.5 5-112 ET32 (front) and 19x9.5 5-112 ET36 rear.
QUESTION: IS it safe to say that I am looking for rims/wheels that are same as the above Super III specs but instead of 19", I'm looking for 18"?
Thanks a bunch.
