SL350 rims - will they fit on W211 E320?

I am thinking about purchasing from a friend a brand new set of 17"x8.5" wheels from a new SL350 and wonder if they would fit on a W211 E320. I have had conflicting advice and some say the offset may not suit! please help!

The offset is not an issue, wrong hardware is the issue.

I think he means lug bolts. Just make sure that you have 20mm past the back of the wheel pad once the bolt is dry-fitted on the wheel.

Tires could also be an issue.

SL = 255/35-19 + 285/30-19 or 255/40-18 + 285/35-18
E = 245/35-19 + 275/30-19 or 245/40-18 + 265/35-18

I do not know 17-in sizing.

Actually, I am referring to the diameter of the bolts. The W211 uses 14mm bolts and the SLK uses 12mm.
