I def gotta get a drop on the car now before this summer starts. I'm goin to leave it riding on the original 17's with 45 series tires. Currently have like 4" gap up front, same out back. What springs and shocks can i use on the 4Matic?? I'm looking to have at least only like 2 finger gap all the way around. Also, has anyone ever cut a few coils off with a cup kit to get a drop, if so, how did the car ride afterwards, this meaning with the stock shocks.

I don't think you could lower your car if you have 4MATIC. I have asked a few places to get my C240 4MATIC lowered, but they said 4MATICs have different suspensions from the 2WD C-class and they didn't have the suspension to get the car lowered. If you have airmatic in your E-class, I believe you could lower it using star diagnose (although not much).

I have not been able to find 'lowered' front spgs for the my 00 e430 4mtc (or any 4mtc). But I used some eibachs w/ med. cups, that came from a co-worker w/ a 124, the rears fit perfectly and set the tire right at the fender. Then snipped a coil off the front stock spgs w/ med. cups. Camber kits will need to be installed and alignent performed. And u can kiss ur plush soft ride goodbye.
