suspension replacement help.

Hi. It's about time to replace the shocks on my 1999 E320. I would like to retain the softness of the original suspension. I have heard from many that I have to get the original OEM shocks to get that softness. Is that correct? I was told that SACH's is the OEM manufacturer. I went on the tirerack website and saw KYB Gas-A-Just-Shock. Is that a suitable replacement for my OEM shock and will they be just as soft or do I need to get the originals from the dealer? Also, I can't seem to find the SACH's website for some reason. Thanks Luke and to those who reply.

depends on the weather
the KYB's are 10 - 15 percent firmer and even the OE shocks will seem firmer than your current worn out shocks
