2002 CLK 430 Max. Tire Size
Can someone help here:
I need to know the maximum tire width for a stock 2002 CLK 430 for both the 17 inch wheels and 18 inch ones.
Thanks.

17x7.5F = 225/45/17
17x8F = 225/45/17
17x8.5R = 245/40/17
17x9R = 245/40/17
18x7.5F = 225/40/18
18x8.5F = 225/40/18
18x8F = 225/40/18
18x8R = 225/40/18
18x8.5R = 225/40/18 (This also works I think)
18x8.5R = 255/35/18
18x9R = 255/35/18
I believe that's all you can do without rubbing. Good luck!

Sorry, the specs are:
Front: 17 x 7.5 - 225/45/17
Rear: 17 x 8.5 - 245/40/17
This is what came from MB and what I currently have.
I'd like to upgrade to wider tires and was wondering what the widest is that I can go with the stock suspension. I have read where guys are running 255/40/17 for the rears? 235/45/17 for the fronts? Can anyone confirm that there are no rubbing issues?
Also, may be interested in getting 18 inch rims and wanted to see what size tire I can go with as well.
Thanks.

If you've read that guys run it, then go for it. Personally I'd stick to what's listed in this thread.
I've already given you the suggeted tire sizes for the suggested width rims above as well from Tirerack.
If you already have a set of wheels in mind, give me an e-mail sometime soon before I leave the country for vacation and let's see if I can give you a really good deal.

Anyone running 255/40/17 on stock CLK 17 inch rear rims?
I want to go wider but don't want driveability/speedo issues.
Also, will 2003 C320 AMG A209 Twin Spoke Rims fit on a 2002 CLK 430?
I think that the offset is 37 front 30 rear. Spacers required?
