e500 4matic
w211 4matic fitment question
Hi Luke
there seems to be some confusion on w211 board as to whether or not you can put staggered setup on a 4matic w211. i have an e500 with air suspension and factory sport rims. i want to mount snows on factory wheels and buy new rims for summer. can i go with staggered setup or does this mess up the computers read for 4matic. does 17" work better than 18" ?
as always , your help is appreciated.

depends on the weather
can you make a stagggered fitment work on a 4 matic Benz .... yes but you have to be EXTREMELY careful in tire selection .... the C4 Porsches come with wider rear tires don't they ? with that said I would not do it .... it's just too much of a hassle and the tire wear will also cause you to be replacing tires before they are worn since you can't rotate them and the rear will wear out at a 2-1 rate so, you will be buying new front when they are only 50% worn in order to keep the onboaard electronics happy.
