Kleeman vs. Bilstein
Ok, from what I've been reading on the net, most people either have Bilsteins shocks with H&R springs or a Kleeman setup. I noticed that most people on this forum prefer Kleeman. Can anyone tell me what they think of the two setups mentioned?
Secondly, I called Brabus in Newport Beach today and they told me that AMG uses Bilstein shocks. Could anyone verify this?
Lastly, what can you guys tell me about Brabus suspension setups?
any feedback would be appreciated

Bilstein is standard fitment with AMG. I have H&R with factory Bilstein, IMO low speed compression is too hard, high speed compression too soft and rebound is too soft standard. I am having mine revalved by Bilstein Motorsports. IMO talk of H&R being too harsh is rubbish, the problem is the shock setup. H&R spring is still a little on the soft side for such a heavy car. As a comparison if I press down on the front guard on my 996 Carrera the suspension barely moves, but has great supple ride even with factory sports suspension. On the Benz there is plenty of movement in comparison, but the ride is harsher! Spoke to the guys at Bilstein who were great and setup my previous Porsche and worked out what needs to be changed. These guys setup most of the front running GTP cars in Aust and really know their stuff.
Kleemann is supposed to be great but have not heard/seen any independant feedback.

Side note
On an amusing side note:
While removing the front and rear shocks on an ML55 to do some dimensioning for a full coil over system I was shocked to find that the ML55 AMG shocks were made in the USA by- gulp- of all companies......... KYB!
