Patch or Replace this??
I have this nail stock on my tire. To be exact, its plunged right in the center. I took it to NTB and they said it needs to be replaced since its low profile. (Bridgestone Potenza SO3 255X35ZR). Should I take it to my mechanic to patch or replace??

nah... the tire doesn't need to be replaced just because of ONE nail....
it is in the center of the treads, so, its easy to repair... HOWEVER....
if you had damaged the sidwall, then, it can't be fixed...
if the nail was within 1/2" of the edge, then it can't be fixed either...
if you ALREADY have 2 PATCHES/PLUGS in the tire, then, it can't be fixed... and lastly...
if the tire lost air, and you drove even half a block with flat tires, then it can't be fixed either, low profile tires have very strong sidewalls... but, with zero air pressure to hold it up, it will crumble from the inside if driven on flat...
some food for thought...
