Watched motor week show on TireRack test track..
I was just watching the motor week on the E320CDI and they also did a segment on the Tire Racks test track... very impressive. I wonder, are those test drivers trained as automotive engineers? do they use any objective equipment, or is most of it subjective?

depends on the weather
I actually do the testing myself as do all of the sales people here .... we do use timing equipment for comparative data. the road ride is subjective .... but, considering I have driven and tested thousands of different tires and have been in the automotive industry for 25 years I think I have a little more insite than your average 'joe schmoe' even though I am not an engineer
