I was just wondering how much more strength a forged wheel has over the regular cast wheel. A forged wheel should be made with a thinner piece of aluminum due to the forged construction but still, how can it stand up to the beatings of everyday driving and more?

I own 8 forged wheels for my track car(NSX). I have bent all of them at one time or another. If I am correct the center is forged not the rim. The rim is soft and WILL bend if you run low profile tires and your air pressure is low.
On cast wheels it usually doesn't bend but instead breaks.
Is that an NSX in your Avatar?

Thanks Howard, yeah i was thinking that the rim part would bend if its only spun not forged. But what about those one piece forged rims? they just break? Actually the car in my avatar is a 360 spider.
