Speeds above 80MPH my 98 C43 shakes/vibrates

Ok, while driving at any speed above 80MPH my 98 C43 shakes/vibrates too much. I'd like to know why? Its not even fun or safe feeling to be going over 80 for more than a few seconds. I feel I have no control over the car.

Is it wheel balancing? (did it about 8k miles ago or 14-16 months ago)
Shocks? (the car has Brabus lowering springs for 16K miles now)
Tires? They are match set but are about done on tread wear.
Something else????

I figure its time to spend some $$ on it and fix the problem. So please help

does the steering wheel shake or is it like your seat shaking or both. Bald tires usually do go out of balence, so i would first start with the obvious, get new tires, which will be balenced then go from there. My guess is that one or more of your rims are bent the stock amg ones are very weak and prone to bends on the back side.

The Hunter GSP9700 quantifies the runout of a rim-only, so that good and bad wheels may be identified. Then, the wheels are balanced, accounting for the "road force" of the specific tires. The tire runout may also be quantified.

Tire Rack can identify installers in your area that use the GSP9700.

The biggest problem is identification of a local shop with the skills to utilize this tool. Most just use the basic balance function. It can also split weights to hide them behind the spokes.

Hunter has not yet posted instruction manuals for this tool on their web site.

No to the steering wheel, feel like the seats or I say more like the whole car. I had one bent cracked rim but that go repaired. They check the rest and ddnt see any more bent ones when I had it repaired. I dont drive the car more than a few times a month.
