can a rim with a small chunk taken out of the edge be repaired?

One of the best? These guys are the Shiznit! I think that I've referred at least three dozen people to them. If it can be done, they will do it. And when they do it, it will be done as well as it can be done.

Thanks Luke for the numbers -- I don't have my file on them here to refer someone to them - and I did so just last week...

edit: just a note, because these guys are so good, they are often busy - which can mean a three week wait (with your car on a spare or up on blocks(!)) to get your wheel(s) back from them. This long-wait thing used to only happen sporadically throughout the year, but may be worse or more often now if they've just gotten busier and haven't expanded their operation....
