The C-class Esprit model is Lowered in comparison to the Elegance and Classic, by the same ammount that the Sport is I think.
I got a set of 18"x 8.5J wheels and im concerned more about the front ones, if they scrape my arches or wings when taking turns and have like, 4 people inside.
What tire dimensions are safe to put on? Im thinking of 225/45/18 or 235/45/18. Are one of these sizes ok to put? ( I kind of dont want to put a lower profile than 45 if not necessary).
By the way, I measure their diameter and its 50cm(=19.7inches!) Is the nominal size the same as the actual size? On the box it says 18 x 8,1/2 but its still weird. Oh and width is 24cm (=9,5inches!).
Any queries, do not hesitate to ask. Thank you so much for your time, you are great help!

depends on the weather
I'm not surprised that they measure larger than the nominal size because you measured the wheel incorrectly .... the wheel dimensions are from where the tire sits not the outer edges ...
for an 18x8.5 wheel you would need a 30mm offset in order for it to fit correctly. and the proper tire size would be 225/40-18

Just to make it easier I would suggest that you read the tech thread at the top of the page .... It can and will help you understand what you are undertaking .....
offset is a wheel dimension covered thoroughly in the tech thread
