Luke: run flat or normal

I am considering getting a set of Bridgestone RE050A Run Flat tyres. The second option are Dunlop SP9000. There is a £195 difference; so I just want to know if people think it is worth it. I intend to fit them onto an SLK171. Thanks

depends on the weather
if you choose the runflat tire you will be required to use a tire pressure monitoring system which will run you an addtional $300 US ..... you may want to reconsider

It comes with car as an extra...doesn't it. I was just wondering if it is worth getting run flats or if normal tyres are ok. Thanks

depends on what kind of car ...... alot of new ones have it ...

as far as runflat or not .... runflat tires are very stiff riding and do not offer much road compliance ... given the choice I would opt for non runflat tires

I don't have runflats on any car that I can replace the OEM runflats on. IMO they're horrible; or at best, two or three notches below any other good performance tire.
