R170 SLK wheels
I would like to fit some larger 17" or 18" amg wheels to an R170 1999 SLk230. What size rim and tyre will fit? I am thinking about the offset etc. Would these fit properly: Genuine AMG 8J x 18 wheels. Mercedes part no. A2114012102. Five spoke,five stud fitting. Shod with part worn Michelin Pilot Sport 245/40 /ZR 18 tyres

Sounds like that wheel is from the W211 E-class, in which case the lug bolts probably are not compatible. The W211 has 14x1.5mm bolts. I suspect -- but do not know for sure -- that the R170 requires 12x1.5mm bolts.
