Can 06 SL600 AMG twin spoke rims fit a 2000SL500?

Hi

does anyone know if the 2006 SL600 AMG twin spoke (35mm and 40MM offset) rims fit onto the 2000 SL500 non sport package car?

I was told that the 2000 SL uses 12mm lug and the 2006 uses 14 or 15mm, does that make any difference on the safety of the car if the 06 rims fit?

Thanks

The wheels will not fit properly for your car. The seats from your factory 12x1.5 lug bolts will not work with the wheel which is designed to use the 14x1.5 factory lugs. Also the 35 & 40 offset is a bit high for your car. The 19" AMG split spoke wheels (Styling IV) I've seen for the R230 SL-Class were all 8.5x19 ET25 front and 10x19 ET28 rear.
