what is the widest for SL500 R230

What is the widest you can go in the fronts for the R230's. I have a 9 inch width rim with 255/30/20 for the fronts.
With the Continentail tires on the tires look to small for the rim. It kind angles in instead of a round curve on the sides.

that is very weird b/c ive seen 255s on 9in wheels and it doesnt look like that.
my uncle has a sl500 w/ 255 and 305 on 20's.
are u 100% sure that the wheels are 9 in wide?
