Luke - your opinion is needed please

Hi Luke,

I know it's starting to get busy for you as summer is near. Hoping you could help me in my decision on a wheel/tire package before I place my order with you.

My car is a 2003 C230 sedan. Completely stock suspension and brakes. Currently running the authentic AMG split spoke wheels 17x7.5 all around.

My questions regarding the 2 O.Z. wheels below are:

1. Are there any cons regarding a 0.5 difference in the width(rim sticks out further than tire)? As the Tribe Evo is 17x8 as opposed to the MB wheels(both C7 & AMG) are 17x7.5(as is the Superturismo GT)

2. Will I(as a daily driver) feel any adverse effects of 7 extra pounds per wheel? The Tribe Evo is a whopping 28.4 lbs vs. the Superturismo GT at only 21.6 lbs. I don't know how much the AMG wheels weigh...

I love the color of the Tribe Evo & it's slight dish look, but don't know if it's worth it.

Thanks very much Luke for your time!

LOL...

Nothing Luke? No one word answer or even a "fwck off, I'm busy"?
Don't mean to hound you. I did wait a week first.

depends on the weather
sorry, it's been a tough week .... as I have been really busy with other issues (click here)

as far as the Tribe EVO goes you will not notice much of a difference in feel because of the weight since the AMG's basically splits the difference between those two wheels. If it was just a head to head comparison you would notice a slight difference in performance with the heavier wheel.

The width difference will make the sidewall more verticle on the 8" wide wheel which will in turn give you quicker steering response

The Tribe EVO is really cool looking in person
