SLK tires on OEM wheels
Luke,
I currently own a SLK55. Stock wheels are 18 x 7.5/8.5. Stock tires are 225/40 and 245/35. I have lowered the vehicle with Brabus springs.
I have read about many that have purchased 235/35f and 255/35r and have reported no problems.
I was wondering if you had any experience of installing 265/35 on the rear. Yes, I know that the overall diameter will be off and that's okay...I think. I was wondering if I would encounter any problems with rubbing or ABS/ESP/etc.
If you haven't tried this combo out, do you ever have any used 265/35/18 that I could try out? I would hate to purchase tires only to have them rub badly.
Note: I already own AM 19" wheels. Now, I want to buy competition tires for my OEM wheels. It seems 265/35 are more accessible than 255/35 plus I would get a little more traction.
TIA,
Dan

depends on the weather
considering the fact that race tires are wider than normal street tires the 265 competition tire will cause you all sorts of rubbing issues .... stick with either 245 or 255
