Looking for a small 20" tire....
Hey Luke! I am currently running 255/35/19's in my C-class. For the upcoming show season I am dying to get a set of 20's on the car, but I am not wanting to do anymore body work to make it happen. I don't think I can fit a bigger tire on the car than is on there now. Do you know if there is a 20" tire available that would stay within the dimensions of my current tire? Doing the math, a 255/30/20 would do it, but I am not sure such a monster exists.

Soooo let's see if I am doing this right...

Width = 255mm = 10.04"
Sidewall = 35% x Width = 3.51"
Overall Height = (Sidewall x 2) + 19" = 26.03"

Width = 255mm = 10.04"
Sidewall = 30% x Width = 3.01"
Overall Height = (Sidewall x 2) + 20" = 26.02"

So the overall dimensions of wheel and tire should be virtually the same!
Did I do this right?
It would suck ***** to get my 20's and tires in and not have the things fit. If I have screwed this up, somebody slap me in the back of the head before I do it.

Brunelleschi, I commend the effort and I've done the same, but I found this is way better...

@ that current diameter, when your speedo reads 60 you're actually going 63.2mph; and when the speedo reads 70mph you're really going 73.7mph. 'Round here on LI, above 70 is a definite ticket, and I'm sure I'd forget about the error of the speedo and think I'm OK with the speedo @ 70mph but get popped for 74mph. Are you always thinking about the error of the speedo or are you in a more linient (sic) area?
