Question Question for Luke @ Tire Rack !

Hi Luke,

I have a stock '99 E320 4matic and I was interested in some new rims/tires and found ones I like in size 235/45-17 from your website. I just want to know, since the normal size of my tires is 215/55-16, what are the negatives about changing them to the size 17?

- what needs to be done in order for these new wheels/tires to fit on my car?
- will this affect my turning capacity in the wheel wells??
- will this affect the bumpiness in my ride?
- what other changes would I notice?
- how will I know if I can use a Mercedes center cap? (I am looking at the ASA and BBS wheels, btw.)

As you can see, I don't really know anything about tires/wheels other than the fact that I like chrome Any advice you can offer would be most appreciated. Thanks!!

depends on the weather
#1.) if you found the wheels on www.tirerack.com you have a 100% guarantee that fit properly
#2.) no effect at all
#3.) firmer ride but, far from harsh feeling or jarring
#4.) crisper steering response and better cornering grip
#5.) BBS wheels will not use an MB center cap some ASA wheels can
