2000 E320 Wagon
Which size tires / E320 wagon
I have a 2000 E320 wagon and I just purchased a set of AMG replica wheels in an 18x8.5 et 35 size. I am shopping for tires and I think the reccomended size would be 235/40/18 on all four. However, I would like to entertain some other combos. I am concerned that the wheel is too wide for the 235 and the rim edge will stick out beyond the tire edge.
1. Is the 235 wide enough for the 8.5 inch wheel?
2.Also, would a stagered setup of 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear be a better solution? Can the tires be staggered when the wheels are not?
3. Would 245/40/18's fit on all fours?
4. What about 235/40/18 in front and 245/40/18 in rear? This is not a 4-matic.

235/40-18 is the size you should use on all four corners. Running staggered tires on non staggered wheels is a bad idea and it will upset the vehicles handling due to differences in sidewall deflection rates
