Can you ues a "Blizzak DM-Z3" tire as a year around tire?
I live in the SF Bay Area, so most of my driving will be on roads, some off road and then trips to Tahoe during ski season. The wear information appears to be good on the Blizzak - better than the other tirerack recommended tires....
In tread wear rating they get a higher rating (7.9) than the others including the worst (Conti's w/ a 4.3) and noise comfort they also get the highest rating (8) versus all the others...7, 7.7, 7.4, 7.4. Except for cornering stability of a 7.7 for the Blizzaks being lower than Dunlap or bridgestone duelers, the blizzak corning stability is higher than the two contis...Blizzak has a higher rating in all categories - cept cornering stability 7.7 versus an 8 and an 8.1.
The Bizzaks get the highest would buy again rating. So - could I use them as a year around tire? Thanks!
