Tires for 14" Bundt rims (300SD)

Tires for 14" Bundt rims (300SD)
Hi..
I'm hoping to pick up my 85 300SD this week..
The tires on it, are in pretty sad shape, so I wanted to get tires "on the way" so my first "real" stop could be to put them on..
It has the 14" rims on it.. Finances won't really allow me to go larger rims, at the moment-- and when they do, I can "hand these down" to my '81 240D..
I think currently I have
185/70-14's on it..
Any ideas how large of tire a bundt rim will comfortably accept, without creating as many handling problems as I hope to remove??
Most places don't stock much in 14" tires anymore, so I just want to get them ordered or have an idea of where I will order from...
